Alyssa (Lyss) Edwards

Alyssa (Lyss) Edwards is a Consultant Sonographer and founder of Pure Scan, a specialist Women’s Health and Pregnancy Clinic in Hertfordshire. With over 10 years’ experience in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound across both the NHS and private sector, Lyss is passionate about delivering exceptional, compassionate care to women at every stage of their journey.

Her specialist interests include women’s health, fertility, early pregnancy and advanced 3D ultrasound, with a strong belief that every patient deserves to feel listened to, supported and reassured. Alongside her clinical work, Lyss is dedicated to education and regularly teaches ultrasound professionals, most recently delivering specialist 3D ultrasound training at the Royal Society of Medicine.

For Lyss, every scan is more than an image, it’s a moment in time that becomes part of a family’s story, and she feels privileged to care for women during such an important chapter of their lives.
