Early Pregnancy
The early weeks of pregnancy can feel both exciting and overwhelming. We provide calm, compassionate assessment, clear information, and expert ultrasound care when you need reassurance or guidance.
We offer early pregnancy scans from 8 weeks, ongoing early monitoring for higher-risk pregnancies, and non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) for chromosomal screening.
Book this if you:
- Have a positive pregnancy test and would like an early scan (from 8 weeks)
- Require early monitoring due to previous high-risk early pregnancies
- Are experiencing light bleeding or mild pain in early pregnancy
- Need reassurance after a previous miscarriage
- Would like non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT)
Important
An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a pregnancy implants outside the uterus, most commonly in the fallopian tube. This can become a medical emergency.
If you experience:
- Severe or worsening lower abdominal pain
- Shoulder tip pain
- Dizziness, fainting, or feeling unwell
- Heavy bleeding
You should attend the Emergency Department immediately.
We do not offer an on call emergency service but aim to assess you promptly and advise on the safest next steps.
You will be supported with clear explanations, ultrasound assessment where appropriate, and a careful management plan tailored to you.
